Starting a duel
- On the home screen, tap Duel.
- Under Who do you want to play against?, choose another child on this device. Or choose Or a guest and type a name under Guest’s name. A guest doesn’t need a profile of their own.
- Under Choose the tables, pick which tables you’ll do.
- Under How do you want to play?, choose how the duel works (see below).
- Tap Start the duel.
How to play
Lay the device flat between the two children. Each child has their own half of the screen, with their own sum and their own number pad. The top half is upside down, for whoever is sitting on the other side.
There are two ways to play:
- First to 20: whoever gets twenty sums right first wins.
- Timed (60 sec): whoever gets the most right in sixty seconds wins.
Want to stop halfway? Tap the cross in the bar in the middle.
The result
At the end you’ll see who won, or whether it’s a tie. Tap Play again to start a new duel straight away.
