What is BlitzTables?
BlitzTables is an app where children practise their times tables: learning, practice, a timed test, diplomas and a duel for two. The app learns what your child finds hard and practises exactly that. It is made by Bliqo.
What age is the app for?
For children of roughly 7 to 11, the age at which times tables are taught at school. The app asks for no year of birth and keeps no age.
Which devices does it work on?
On Android phones and tablets, from Google Play. The version for iPhone and iPad is still with Apple for review, and we cannot say when that will be finished. There is no playing in the browser.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no account, no email address and no password to remember. You create a profile with a name, an avatar and your child’s school, and off you go.
Are there any adverts?
No, not even in the free plan. BlitzTables shows no advertisements, and it contains no software from other companies that records what you do in the app. So there is no profile of your child to sell to anyone.
Does the app work without internet?
Yes. Learning, practice, the timed test, the diplomas and the duel all work without a connection. Internet is only needed to buy or restore a subscription.
What does BlitzTables cost?
There is a free plan that stays free. Pro costs €3.99 a month, €19.99 a year, or €29.99 once and then it is yours for good.
What is in the free plan?
Times tables 1 to 12, unlimited learning and practice, one timed test per week, the first diploma and reports over the last 7 days. Without adverts and without an account.
Is there a trial period?
Yes: fourteen days of full Pro, free. No credit card, no account. Afterwards you land on the free plan, not on nothing.
What does BlitzTables do with my child’s data?
What your child practises stays on the device it is practised on. There is no account, no email address is asked for, and no practice data goes to a server. What does leave the device is the administration of a subscription, and nothing else.
Can several children use the same app?
Yes. Each child gets its own profile, with its own progress, its own diplomas and its own test at school. You switch with the button in the top right of the home screen. There is no limit on the number of profiles, not even in the free plan.
How far do the times tables go?
That depends on where your child goes to school. With Nederland and United Kingdom the tables go up to 12, in the other countries up to 10. You set that per child, under Where do you go to school.
